ABU RAIHAN MUHAMMAD AL-BERUNI was an exceptional scholar of the Islamic Golden Age, renowned for his contributions to astronomy, mathematics, physics, medicine, geography, and history. He earned the title “al-Ustadh” (The Master) for his expertise across multiple fields. Al-Beruni developed methods for determining the direction of north and south, created mathematical techniques to mark the beginning of seasons, and wrote extensively about the sun, its movements, and eclipses.
